I want to share my present situation. I was in a relationship with a Muslim guy for over eight and a half years. We had agreed from the start that neither of us would change our religion, no matter what the future held. However, after he went to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, he told me it was Haram for him to marry a Hindu and asked me to convert to Islam.
I reminded him of our promise and firmly refused. Despite his efforts to convince me, he eventually ended our relationship. Since then, he has been cold and rude toward me, and I can’t help but feel like he may have found someone else from his religion in Saudi.
I keep telling myself that God will punish him for breaking my heart, but moving on has been so difficult. Nights are the hardest; I cry myself to sleep every day, and this has sadly become my routine.
