Hi I am 37 years female from Vizag. It’s never easy to express what you feel when going through a tough phase in your life. Sometimes you lose the most precious things in the process. I got married at the age of 36, which is still somewhat stigmatized in India. I had been longing for a life partner who would understand and trust me no matter what. But a year into our marriage, everything changed in an instant, bringing turmoil into my married life.
In 2024, we were blessed with a baby, and our marriage was happy and harmonious until my husband found a six-year-old letter in one of my books that revealed part of my past, breaking his trust in me. Since then, he’s been constantly accusing me of hiding my past, and this guilt eats away at me every time he brings it up, especially since he’s overseas.
An old acquaintance, who I call “Mr. Hypocrite,” told my husband that I’m unfaithful and incapable of maintaining a relationship. This person has done irreparable damage to my self-worth, my career, my family-everything. If he’s unhappy and miserable with his life, what right does he have to ruin my family? But I’m determined to overcome this. My self-esteem has become even stronger because I am a wife and a mother with powerful resilience.
Everyone should be aware of people from their past who try to destroy their present. “Be strong so that no one can break you.” Stronger are the winds, stronger are the situations. You never know when the wind will change direction and engulf you. Be aware of such negative mindsets and the psychological harm they can cause to your peace of mind.
